The lead up to Christmas can be a stressful time, sorting presents, kids holidays , general time management around this period becomes very hectic and I normal routines change quite considerably.Nibbles-courtesy-ofThe-Elm-Tree
I think one huge thing that changes is our diets and alcohol intake. This is mainly due to it being more available , socially being busy and friends and family inviting you over for nibbles , drinks etc.
Wikipedia defines Courtesy as: is gentle politeness and courtly manners.
A little Challenge for the week: pay 1 person a compliment each day.
Let us know the outcome.
This weeks word of the week is: Self Control
the ability to control one’s emotions, behavior, and desires in the face of external demands in order to function in society. If you ask mum or dad for a biscuit, they say yes you can have ONE.
When you get to the biscuit tin you see TWO that you like.
How many do you take?
We are celebrating Easter in style and having an Easter party

Friday, 13th May 2011 and we’ve just seen over 50 kids rewarded for their hardwork over the past few months with their new belt and grading certificate.
Teaching children the value of goal setting and the secrets of eating an elephant — one bite at a time!
It takes years to achieve a Black Belt — a long time for an adult martial artists — what feels like a lifetime (or more) for many of our children aged 4 through to 13 years. Instead they learn the value of breaking a big achievement like a Black Belt broken down into smaller tasks.
Then it’s simply a matter of persistance and dedication over the years.
Here’s a short clip of our youngsters in action from 4 through to 13 — from White through to Black — performing in front of their family and friends to give them a glimpse at what they’ve been working hard for over the past few months.
