I wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped out with the Kung Fu Schools Summer Party!!! You all did a fantastic job!!!and a big thank you to everyone who brought along some food it all looked great and all went which is always a good sign so thank you all so much.

We had a bouncy castle, giant jenga, giant connect 4, space hopper races and face painting, it will be hard to beat next year but I’m sure we will come up with something.

I have started working on Halloween things, I can’t wait to decorate the Kung Fu Schools again, I just hope that baby will give me chance to whizz round and do it, he will have to have a day with daddy :-)

Thank you again for all the help and support from everyone.

From a Kung Fu Student at The Kung Fu Schools!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To give everyone a little more insight into what happens at The Kung Fu Schools I have asked the students to write for me what effect coming to the Kung Fu Classes has had on them.

This is what Scott from the Juniors class had to say –

Kung Fu has taught me self-defence. It has helped me kick better in football. It has made me more confident.

I wanted to join Kung Fu Schools because I watched some lessons and they looked fun and helpful.

The instructors are friendly and kind. They help you all the time especially when you find something difficult. They make the lessons fun and teach us new things.

Chinese dragon Day!!!

We are having a Chinese Dragon day on Wednesday 4th August 10am-12pm for 4-6 years and 12.30pm – 2.30pm for 7 – 13 years.

It will be a great event we have people from the Confucius Institute coming to The Kung Fu Schools to teach us all about the Chinese Dragon.

There will be a number of activities including –

  • The 5 colors of the dragons and what each color stands for,
  • what the dragon means, why a Dragon? what it stands for in Chinese culture,
  • making Dragon puppets,
  • we will be showing a Dragon Dance and then you can learn how to do it,

So come and learn about the Dragon’s.

And a great Big Thank You to all of you who took part in the demonstration at Charlwood Garden Party on Saturday!!! You did a great job Well Done!!!
